The word volcano comes from the Roman god of fire Vulcan. The largest volcano in the solar system isn't on earth but on Mars. There Were roughly 1’500 volcanoes that have erupted in the last 1000 years. Hawaii is the home of the biggest volcano on Earth mauna loa.
