Historical village Visit

 Last week I went with Room 8 to the Howick Historical Village. I learnt about the different rules for boy and girls had. Boys had to take off their hats when they came inside. Girls had to go inside or anywhere first. It was a great day.

I have been reading about Kupe. Did you know that:

He was born in Hawaiki and died in Raiatea

Kupe drowned his cousin so he could marry his wife

Married to Hine-te-Aparangi

Had 2 daughters called Matiu and Makaro

He killed a giant octopus

He discovered New Zealand.
